SWEET POTATO APPLE CASSEROLE
INGREDIENTS

4 large sweet potatoes, unpeeled
6 large green apples, cored
3 Tbs. Downey’s Honey Butter
2 Tbs. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cups water


















DIRECTIONS

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a large baking pan with non-stick spray. Scrub but do not peel the sweet potatoes. Slice into ½ inch thick coins and layer in bottom of the pan.

2. Core but do not peel the green apples. Slice into ½ inch thick coins and layer on top of the potatoes

3. Drizzle 1 ½ Tbs. honey butter over the apples and potatoes.

4. Sprinkle 1 Tbs. brown sugar and ½ tsp. Cinnamon over the apples potatoes.

5. Repeat first 4 steps forming another layer of sweet potatoes and apples, with honey butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.

6. Add water. Cover tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until apples and sweet potatoes are tender.
